In 1966 Workman recorded her first French language single, El Maintenant, which rose to #1 on the Canadian charts and remained there for fifteen weeks. In 1969 Workman moved to England and sang backup vocals on You Cant Always Get What You Want and Country Honk, tracks from the Rolling Stones 1969 album Let it Bleed, as well as on the Stones 1969 single, Honky Tonk Woman, - she also worked with John Lennon and Elton John during this period. The 1970s found Workman touring in France and in 1978 she starred in the Rock Opera Starmania as Sadia.
