About the Author Robert Smith is the Inaugural Vice Chancellor’s Fellow and Adjunct Associate Professor at Southern Cross University. Based in the School of Education he has 20 years’ experience as a classroom teacher followed by 20 years as a teacher educator. He has been active in providing professional development in literacy across the curriculum as well as in educational leadership. He has extensive experience in university governance with a focus upon teaching and learning, and regularly sits on ITE provider panels. His current research includes literacy in Vietnamese schools.
