Using transformerless FET circuitry and a gold-sputtered diaphragm capsule provides a clean and clear tone. The 606 also features a -20 dB switchable attenuation pad and low-frequency roll-off. This microphone has a twenty millimetre gold-sputtered diaphragm with a fixed cardioid pickup. In addition, the microphone has a switchable High Pass Filter set at 6 dB/octave @ 150Hz useful for eliminating troublesome unwanted low frequencies. In addition it has a 20 dB pad switch, (Pre-attenuation switch) to prevent overloading the microphones internal circuitry at high sound pressure levels.
