-Titulo Original : Fatale, Book 2 The Devils Business
-Fabricante :
Image Comics
-Descripcion Original:
In 1970s Los Angeles, Josephine cant hide from the forces of Hollywood, Satanic Cults, and creepy 8mm films collected by wealthy deviants. And when a struggling actor and his wounded friend cross her path, all hell will break loose, leaving ripples that echo all the way to modern time, where Nicolas Lash falls deeper into Josephines spell. Collects Fatale #6-10. From Booklist One of the pleasures of this horror-noir series is the way it plays out in different eras, with events echoing down the decades. Here, in the present day, Nicolas Lash hunts obsessively for the mystery woman who saved him-well, most of him-in book 1. But the bulk of this installment is set in 1970s L.A., where Josephine, the titular femme, is hiding out, hoping to avoid luring any more unwitting dopes to their doom. She’s immortal, you see, and can’t help casting a spell on what is clearly the weaker sex. But when a washed-up actor stumbles into her backyard carrying a shocking film and a bleeding woman, Jo knows she can’t hide forever. This is L.A. as Hollywood Babylon, with hard drugs, depraved sex parties, a Satanic cult, and rich film executives who swap snuff films like trading cards. It’s a bit light on the tentacles, but fans of the series will be fully satisfied-and they’ll be dying to know how it ends. --Keir Graff
